This DVD release features the music of Berlioz from two previously-released VHS editions: Charles Munch's definitive performance of the Symphonie fantastique (1963) with the Orchestre de Radio-Canada is coupled here with Marilyn Horne's atmospheric reading of the composer's glorious song cycle, Les nuits d'été (1966), with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal under the direction of Pierre Hetu. Insert includes texts and translations for Les nuits d'ete.
