The only extant video of Sir John's work with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, this February 3, 1959, telecast from Sanders Theatre, Harvard University, finds the conductor in exemplary form, leading performances of Brahms's Symphony No. 2, Walton's Partita for Orchestra, Delius's The Walk to the Paradise Garden (from A Village Romeo and Juliet), and Barbirolli's own arrangement of selections from the Fitzwilliam Virginal Book, entitled An Elizabethan Suite.
