This second volume in The Art of the Pas de Deux series features some of the ballet world’s
greatest dancers in the works of equally celebrated choreographers. The performances cover a
range of forty years and a century of choreographic styles, ranging from the traditional dance
vocabulary of Petipa to the emotion-laden world of Todd Bolender’s The Still Point. In all of these
excerpts, the dancers featured share a close association with their roles, providing unsurpassed
authenticity in style.
