The elegant pianist Arrau was especially renowned for his interpretations of the music of Mozart and Beethoven. In this rare appearance on Canadian television, he plays Mozart's dramatic A minor Sonata, K. 310, coupled with Beethoven's Sonata No. 32, Op. 111, one of the composer's most technically and interpretively challenging works.
