Tenor superstar Placido Domingo performs the rare feat of singing the lead roles in both Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci in a single evening, in this 1976 live performance from Japan. In the former, Domingo is partnered by the magnificent mezzo-soprano Fiorenza Cossotto; he is joined in Pagliacci by soprano Elena Mauti-Nunziata as Nedda and Benito di Bella as Tonio.
