A lavish and romantic production of one of the world’s most beloved operettas. This 1955 telecast of Franz Lehar’s The Merry Widow stars the beautiful actress and singer Anne Jeffreys, Metropolitan Opera tenor Brian Sullivan, and legendary character actor Edward Everett Horton. The role of Valencienne is played by the charming soprano Helena Bliss, star of Broadway’s Song of Norway, in a rare TV appearance. DVD Includes the original commercials, as a separate bonus feature.
